| Collections Clerk, Audit Department It’s all in the details! Due to an internal promotion, our downtown non-profit client is now seeking an assertive, respectful and calm-mannered individual for this unique position in their audit and investigations department. The background of the ideal candidate will include a combination of soft collections experience and legal training and/or experience. You will use your knowledge of court proceedings, Small Claims Court document preparation, and basic bookkeeping skills to work collaboratively with this close-knit team within this larger organization. Among your technical skills will be strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, fast and accurate typing at 50 wpm minimum, advanced MS Word and familiarity with Outlook and Excel. Your education will include completion of Grade 12, plus legal and bookkeeping or accounting courses. Perhaps more important than technical skills, however, is excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Written communications will be important component of this position as will dealing effectively with stressful situations and sometimes difficult people. As a representative of this organization that serves a culturally diverse community, your focus will be on recovering funds through building effective working relationships both internally and externally. The starting salary for this position will be about $35,000 in accordance with the provisions of the applicable collective agreement. Vacation entitlement in the first year will be at 4 weeks and the benefit and pension plans offered are highly competitive. Every third week, you will get either a Monday or Friday off work under the existing flexible workweek schedule. Our client is interviewing immediately so please email us your resume right away.
