| Web Designer & Developer Contractor Quadro Media, a local start-up digital media & design agency, is seeking for entrepreneurial web designers and developers to join our contract venture, with the potential of being taken on as full time partners. We are currently based in Vancouver and anticipate a strategic move to Surrey in July. We are also working with several industry mentors and the Downtown Surrey Business Improvement Association, and will collaborate with SFU Venture Connections to connect with local businesses and municipalities in Surrey. We are looking to assemble a new team of talented web designers and developers. You (or your team) will be able to share the office and Internet with us. Benefits include: - Free office space with high speed Internet (space with no obligation, you can work on your other projects) - Stream of design projects from Quadro Media - Potential for partnership or full time employment We will forward all design jobs and contracts we land to you. In return, Quadro Media will be able to showcase your portfolio under the Quadro Media umbrella, as part of our portfolio to present to clients. Ideal candidates should have the following skill set: Web Design - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite - Expertise in the use of design and prototyping tools to craft great user experiences - A thorough understanding of design and typography principles; strong visual design aesthetics - Experience in Wordpress and/or other CMS - Knowledge of HTML & CSS - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work with remote teams and clients - Knowledge of SEO a plus - Experience with mobile web design a plus Web Developer: - IT or Web Programming background - Minimum of one year of web development experience - Fluent in Web 2.0 development - Fluent in PHP, CSS, SQL - Knowledge of CMS - Understanding of client server architecture Please send a copy of your resume as well as the link.
