| Controller - Property Sector Our client is a mid-sized self storage and property development/investment company looking for a committed, outgoing, operational accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will have the desire to assist the company with its ongoing growth while maintaining day to day supervision and hands on involvement with the operations & various accounting requirements. Experience with property development financial analysis is required. In addition, experience with multiple holding companies, investments & corporate cash flows would also be desirable. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Responsibilities: - Full operation of accounting department - Supervision of 2 related employees - Hands-on transactions for all holding companies - Preparation of all related government filings - Cash management including cash flow projections - Internal financial statements as required - Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions - Assist with project cost tracking - Prepare financial analysis for managements use in investment & operational decisions - Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments - Preparation of year end information for external accountants Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge & Skills required) - Minimum of 4 years experience, including at least 2 years in the property sector - Professional accounting designation or equivalent - Excellent time management and organizational skills - Capable of working independently with minimal supervision - Proficient with MS Excel and QuickBooks is required - Ability to learn new software quickly - Ability to develop/utilize spreadsheets to analyze financial data - Willing to develop new skills, take on special projects If you are interested in this opportunity, please send your resume and a brief note explaining your interest and qualifications to: Cliff Kanto, and put Controller - Property Sector in the subject line.
