Position Summary: The purpose of this job is to directly supervise a group of hourly employees to ensure compliance to SOP's and plant rules to optimize efficiency. Key Responsibilities: The Front Line Manager (Logistics) is responsible for the following: • The direct supervision of hourly employees. • Ensure all SOP's and plant rules are followed. • The ability to work shift work. • Lead shift hand-over meetings and ensure action items are followed up with in a timely manner. • Manage relationships with hourly employees and union representatives as required. • Participate in grievance meetings and respond to step #1 grievances as required. • Execution of receiving inbound loads to the staging / warehouse department and the shipping of beer produced at the Creston Brewery. • Management of the staging / warehouse department resulting in cost effective and productive results. Includes contribution to packaging line productivity results through supply management of inbound materials and palletizer / shrink wrapper operation. Technical Knowledge and Skills: • Business Degree or Post secondary equivalent. • Experience in a unionized environment. • Supervisory/Front Line Management experience. • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools. • Experience using an ERP system; preferably Oracle. Other Skills / Competencies / Attributes: • Inventory Management practices. • Logistics: Warehousing, Transportation, Distribution. | |
