| Human Resource Director Description: The Sr. Manager, Human Resources reports to the CEO and works in close consultation with other members of ChampionsWay senior management team. You will work with CEO and other senior manager department forward by participating in strategic planning through research and industry knowledge. Your responsibilities will include day-to-day management, development and execution in relation to the following functional areas of Human Resources: 1. Organizational Development and Design • Execute HR initiatives to support the company's goals and objectives • Provide recommendations for job analysis and design • Manage retention strategies and succession planning to ensure the organization has the necessary talent in place for future needs 2. Employment • Ensure quality execution of all areas of employment including recruitment, hiring, training & development, motivating & retention, evaluating, and terminating • Coach Managers on employee relations, employee development and performance management 3. Employee Relations • Present an open and accessible HR Department • Provide leadership and coaching to employees, peers and management on goals and objectives by sharing best practices and building an engaged work culture. • Provide clear, timely and constructive feedback • Develop and implement the company's policies and guidelines 4. Compliance • Liaise with Legal Department to respond to legal issues • Stay current with legal HR issues • Ensure HR/legal issues and Employment Standards compliance 5. Department Management • Personnel/Records Management • Manage all department processes, procedures and documentation • Introduce HR Best practices in order to further develop all areas of HR procedures and processes Skills: Requirements: • Strong influencing and coaching skills • Excellent leadership abilities and management skills • Ability to provide guidance, work direction and to motivate others to obtain improved performance. • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Extensive professional knowledge and experience in human resource management including problem solving, conflict resolution skills, consulting skills, operational management skills and analytical skills. • Knowledge of employment, laws and regulations • Knowledge of current HR best practices • Ability to set priorities and handle several tasks concurrently. • Ability to work in a highly confidential environment. • Good PC knowledge using MS Office products Education and Experience: • A university degree in a related field. CHRP designation would be an asset. • 7-10 years experience in a senior and/or leadership Human Resources position as a HR Generalist or HR Management position | |
