| Controller - 6 month contract Reporting directly to the Vice-President of Finance this is a 6 month contract position for a Controller who would need to provide technical expertise and managerial leadership to an expanding team. Specific areas of focus include: Control & Audit; GAAP Reporting; Tax; Cash Management; Strategic Planning and Budgeting. Responsibilities - Providing the Management Team with timely, relevant information that will assist in decisions leading to improved efficiencies and cost reductions. - Preparing annual and five-year financial budgets. - Monthly reporting and analysis of financial results. - Evaluating and improving internal control systems, procedures and business systems. - Preparing working papers for internal and external auditors. - Supervising, directing and coordinating the functions of an accounting team. - Undertaking projects and analysis as directed by the Vice-President of Finance. Qualifications - A recognized accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA or equivalent). - Minimum of 5 years Controllership experience. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with analytical and financial management expertise.
