| Plant Controller - Global Manufacturing Business Our client, with revenues close to the $2billion mark and listed on the NYSE, is a global leader in the food industry. It seeks a Plant Controller, reporting directly to the national Director of Finance in New Brunswick and indirectly to the Plant Manager, in its well established 20 year old plant in Surrey. Principal responsibilities will include: - Improvement of manufacturing process from a finance perspective and general maintenance of proper internal controls. - Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis along with the associated performance commentary. - Creating monthly financial operating results. - Verifying and setting proper costing mechanisms. The business operates in a strong, collaborative team environment where staff take on a variety of duties, sometimes outside of their job profiles. This makes for a positive environment and a varied work content. Work/life balance is highly encouraged and there is very little overtime. Requirements: - Must be a designated accountant with experience of accounting in both the US and Canada. - Good understanding of accounting for inventory. - Strong communications skills as many communications will be on the phone. - Co-operative, detail orientated and not to afraid to ask questions. - An MBA would be an advantage.
