We have a current opening in our Burnaby office for a: MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS REPRESENTATIVE As a member of the Branding Team, you will play an important role in helping Kumon realize our company Vision through innovative, integrated marketing programs and outstanding marketing support services for our franchisees. Key Responsibilities: • Provide consultation and support to Instructors, primarily regarding the evaluation of potential opportunities and the execution of various marketing initiatives. • Assist in the development and implementation of regional and local marketing plans and activities, including tradeshows, seminars, and other events • Work with in-house design and production team, public relations team, and vendors to create both internal and external promotional materials and communications, including but not limited to advertisements, presentations, brochures, newsletters, and press releases. • Respond to emails & telephone inquiries from Instructors and sales representatives, and prepare paperwork for processing of invoices • Contribute as a member of cross-functional teams on specific projects. Key skills and requirements: • Bachelors Degree (preferably in Marketing, Business or a related discipline). • Minimum 2 - 4 years experience in a Marketing Coordinator role in either the education or service industry or in a franchise organization. • Experience with grassroots community-based marketing programs • Strong relationship builder and influencer • Equally comfortable consulting one-on-one or facilitating group meetings with a focus on delivering exceptional client service • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external audiences • Project management experience with ability to multi-task, excellent organizational skills, and an eye for detail • Able to work well independently while functioning effectively as a team player in fast-paced environment. Knowledge of agency model would be an asset • Superior communication skills (both verbal and written) • Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite required • Ability to work outside of normal business hours as required • Must own vehicle as some travel to our franchisee’s locations throughout local area • Willingness to travel The selected candidate will be immersed in learning Kumon’s philosophy and curriculum through a management trainee program.
