Senior Operations Manager

As a leading operator of news and specialty shops throughout the North America, the Hudson Group can offer you what many other retailers cannot-a job with long-term career advancement. We currently have an opportunity available at the Vancouver International Airport for an experienced Senior Operations Manager.
In this role, you'll oversee the day-to-day activities of your specific stores/location, ensuring that strategic initiatives are met while working to maximize sales and lower shrink. You will also hire/train staff and ensure adherence to company policies.
*Works with on-site jobbers and sales representatives.
*Communicates with home office personnel.
*Provides leadership, effective management and training for staff.
*Ensures over-all floor coaching and supervision is delivered consistently to ensure excellent customer service.
*Completes on a timely basis all administrative work as assigned by the General Manager.
*Performs audits.
*Ensures adherence to all promotional programs and reports deficiencies in compliance to General Manager.
*Demonstrates excellent product knowledge and visual merchandising.
*Fullfills all responsibilities of General Manager, Assistant Manager in his/her absence including responsiveness to landlord and home office requests.
*2 years or more Retail Management experience that includes recruiting, scheduling, payroll, training, loss prevention and store visuals.
*Computer skills.
*Inventory experience.
*Knowledge/experience with P&L reports.
*Excellent customer service skills.
*Associates degree or above preferred.
*Work flexible hours from early (4:30am) to late (Midnight).
*Drug Screen and Background.
*Enjoy working in a busy airport environment.
