| Business Information Support Specialist - Cognos Reports Business Information Support Specialist – Cognos Reports – Term Contract Position Our client is an industry leader in the high tech field. . This role will provide expertise developing Cognos Reporting tools. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience/knowledge as a Business Information Reporting specialist. The role will be responsible for working with a team to develop procedures and applications support. Extensive knowledge of Cognos, Report writing and an understanding of Oracle conversion, automation, integration and processing is required Major Responsibilities * Providing ongoing user support, maintenance, and other information requirements. * Work with end-users, help define requirements, develop reports, and train on usage * Will work closely with other team members, and technology group for optimum results and efficiencies * Provide expertise and development for operational/production reports * Prepares detailed specifications for programs and user tools. * Design, code, test, debug and document processes and reports. Qualifications * A professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA) * Must have good analytical and conceptual skills * Strong and up to date Cognos suite experience * Expert level report developer, using Cognos 7, Cognos 8, Cognos ReportNet and Powerplay * Ability to work with business users on requirements, develop appropriate specifications and build reporting objects * Ability to provide backup administrative support * Excellent organizational skills, with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines * Demonstrated strong analytical skills, a strong tactical thinker, ability to analyze and translate data into strategic implementations and proactive solutions * Excellent leadership and people management skills * High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information * Highly motivated, high energy and enjoys multi-tasking If you are interested in this opportunity, please send your resume to Rick Hewson, stating Business Information Support Specialist in the subject line.
