| Historical Researcher - Aboriginal Claims Canada The History Group Inc. is a historical research firm based in Vancouver, BC and Ottawa, ON. We are currently seeking to fill a number of contract positions for historical research involving issues pertaining to Aboriginal claims in Canada. The contract will likely be July 1 to September 30, although it could be extended. Successful applicants must demonstrate a minimum of an undergraduate degree in a research related discipline, in addition to the following qualifications: Minimum of 6 months of professional research experience (research assistantships included); professional experience preparing reports based on research findings; knowledge of Aboriginal history and issues; proven analytical and interpretive skills; professional oral and written communication skills; experience working in a team environment; proficiency in the use of research databases. Graduate degree and/or knowledge of the Canadian civil litigation process an asset.
