Media Sales & Client Relations Executive

EPIC Newsgroup Inc. is a young, dynamic, award winning North American-based, television production and media placement firm with a rapidly expanding international clientele. We seek to hire an experienced well seasoned Media Sales Executive to penetrate new markets.
Job Responsibilities:
• Generate leads through prospecting and cold calling, both in-person and telephone
• Primary focus will be to seek out high revenue agreements, contracts
• Responsible for client and prospect contact with account acquisition and account growth focus
• Analyze problems, and develop and implement plans to satisfy client needs
• Help train new recruits in sales
Job Requirements:
• Proactive development of a news sales territory
• Awareness of current events, business news and media knowledge
• Strategic Sales Experience and Training
• Exceptional communication & presentations skills at the highest level
• Ability to up sell/cross-sell a customer organization
• Computer literacy, including experience with Word, Excel, etc.
• Ability to research, analyze information and write succinctly
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with an eye for detail
• Ability to plan, prioritize, multitask and organize effectively, within a fast paced organization
• Punctual, regular and consistent attendance, Ability to work overtime as needed
• Ability to work pressure meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of broadcast media (very valuable).
• Good to Have: Public Relations background helpful.
• Good to Have: Spanish and or French
Skill set:
• Four-year college degree.
• Min of 3 years experience
• Team player
• A documented history of closing deals directly with clients, as well as with agencies
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex negotiations to successful closure and delivery
• The ability to work independently as the initial sales executive for new target markets
