| Computer and Adaptive Technology Supporting individuals in an one on one and small group environment to improve and develop computer literacy skills Develop individual curriculum for each individuals needs and goals Work with the other team members from various departments to identify areas of concern and improve service Act as a positive role model for community members, co-workers, and those you support Actively practice the Mission, Values, Beliefs and Future Directions of Connexions in an ethical, caring, and professional manner Perform other duties as requested Skills and Requirements Experience in teaching or training Experience supporting individuals with a disability Experience with curriculum development preferred Intermediate computer skills required Experience with Microsoft Access and Publisher an asset Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to work independently Demonstrated ability to teach skills and work effectively with others Knowledge of theory, principles, and practices in the field Proven ability to make sound, independent decisions Ability to function efficiently under pressure and manage multiple concurrent demands MUST HAVES Minimum Valid Emergency First Aid Certificate Minimum Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License Willing to undergo TB clearance and Criminal Record Check | |
