Casual on Call Vocational Trainer

Support individuals to become self-sufficient in all areas of daily living
Positive role model
Support meaningful inclusion and active participation of individuals within their community
Facilitate the involvement of family members and friends
General administration, report writing, record keeping, and accountability of funds
Ensure that individuals achieve personally meaningful goals for independence, community access, and vocational skill development

Skill Requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have teaching and facilitation experience
Experience in program planning for education and recreation programs
Wood working knowledge and experience
Experience facilitating and developing training and recreational programs
Demonstrated ability to teach skills and work effectively with others
Knowledge of theory, principles and practices in the field
Food Safe certificate, food service industry knowledge and experience
Ability to function efficiently under pressure and manage multiple concurrent demands
Key worker experience
Experience/formal training in augmentative communication an asset

MUST HAVES

Valid minimum Emergency First Aid Certificate
Valid minimum Class 5 BC Driver's License
Willingness to undergo Tuberculosis clearance and criminal record check
