| eLearning Specialist Title e-Learning Specialist Responsibilities - Plan, design and implement both distance and in-class Web-based training materials, including all relevant course content, exercises, and quizzes and evaluations. - Collaborate with production coordinator and managers to determine e-Learning topics and training needs. - Design and develop training curriculum for end users of different industries, as per specifications provided by clients. - Write the course source code, design the graphics, compile the programs, and QA test the end products using approved development tools (Adobe Flash, Captivate, Articulate Presenter, Java Script, Dreamweaver, etc.). - Implement and maintain web-based learning management system and deploy e-learning content across the business and with customers. - Liaise with clients to evaluate and/or procure course materials, and relevant software applications and teaching tools. - Lead the conceptualization, development and layout of the training program and identify the technical requirements and infrastructure needed to deliver the digital e-Learning content to its end-users. - Ensure training materials meet organization training goals and objectives. - Develop and deploy a feedback system to and from the audience. - Provide technical support for internal and external customers related accessing, editing, and completing e-learning products or services which includes user and help desk documentation. - Analyze user's progress and evaluations, and recommend training improvement strategies based on findings. - Report software application issues and bugs to production team when they occur. - Conduct thorough research into computer-based training products in effort to support development and purchasing efforts. Requirements - College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, instructional design, interactive design, or educational technology, and/or 2 – 3 years of equivalent work experience. - Proven experience with developing professional user interface design, animations, simulations and managing Learning Management Systems (eg, Saba). - Highly familiar and has proven hands-on experience with Adobe Flash: o In-depth experience with Actionscript 2 and 3. o Able to implement functional playback controls on .swf and .flv files. o Ability to construct a quiz score tracking system would be an asset. - Able to skilfully operate Adobe Dreamweaver (HTML and FTP server knowledge), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Captivate and Camtasia. - Knowledge and experience with Adobe Photoshop and After Effects would be an asset. - Excellent written and oral communications skills, including the areas of instruction and presentation. - Able to identify and fulfill learning needs. - Able to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions. - Able to write content in a business-friendly and user-friendly language. - Highly self-motivated and self-directed. - Experienced in analyzing and problem-solving issues. - Able to work independently, as well as in a collaborative environment. | |
