Job Summary This position will service a portfolio of commercial accounts, including assisting Intermediate & Senior level personnel, requiring demonstrated underwriting abilities and a commitment to customer service excellence. Participation in the production and profit goals in order to meet company objectives. Job Responsibilities Assesses and evaluates new and existing business - low to medium complexity. Review, underwrite and enter Commercial Lines business including new business, renewals and endorsements. Quote and authorize business within established corporate guidelines and individual authority levels. Respond to inquiries from Brokers regarding modification to policies in a prompt and efficient manner. Develop and maintain excellent Broker relationships. Coach more junior staff in addition to other duties as assigned or required. Experience Required 1 to 2 years Commercial underwriting experience at a Junior underwriting level. Good problem solving and time management skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Education Currently working towards CIP designation. | |
