| Senior Accountant - contract position Small real estate development and finance company in downtown Vancouver is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to fill a contract position. While the contract is estimated to last approx. 3 months, there is the possibility of it going permanent. Primary Responsibilities: Preparation and review of monthly financial statements, including reconciliations and P&L analysis Preparation, analysis and on-going review of entity budgets Cash flow analysis and forecasting Consistent review of actual versus forecasted operating budgets Preparation and maintenance of fixed asset schedules Intercompany account reconciliations Preparation of monthly and/or quarterly Government remittances General ledger processing Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in a real estate development or property envrionment 2+ years of exposure to commercial property accounting Experience in using Quickbooks and/or Simply Accounting and strong ability to work with Excel Completion of a post-secondary education program Enrollment/completion of a recognised professional accounting program Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS Strong problem solving skills Ability to multi-task, work independently, and take initiative Must have strong drive and accountability for results | |
