| Project Associate - Building Science Project Associate – Restoration Engineering Vancouver, BC Halsall's consultants plan, design and manage projects for architects, building owners and managers. This includes structural and cladding engineering, sustainable design management, restoration engineering, and capital planning. Founded in 1956 to provide clients with personalized engineering services, Halsall now includes more than 230 employees in seven offices. Purpose of the role: Team members will work with property owners and managers of buildings with performance issues. You will perform building evaluations, develop restoration engineering programs, and manage related construction activities. Scope of responsibilities: • Work as part of a project team delivering building restoration solutions to clients • Conduct technical evaluations and prepare investigation reports • Perform construction and site review, monitoring quality control • Act as a liaison to sub-contractors, responding to various engineering related enquiries • Assist with the preparation of tendering documents and general contract administration • Accept responsibility for project deliverables and outcomes • Contribute to knowledge management systems & practices • Build upon the firm’s reputation and ability to generate new business/work Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Building Science, or an Applied Science • 1-2 years of related work experience gained through summer, co-op or internship placement(s) • Demonstrated interest and/or experience in building sciences (e.g. academic courses) • Valid driver’s license • Demonstrated and effective communication skills • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented environment • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills If you have the desire to deliver every project with the commitment and intensity required to be considered a true partner – Halsall is the place for you.
