ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As our Installation Specialist based out of your home office reporting directly to the Installation Manager, you will have the unique fortune to provide support to the sales team by exercising your extensive technical expertise to builders, installers and dealers within your territory. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your technical and presentation skills by conducting Product Knowledge (PK's) sessions for various audiences at trade shows, technical schools etc. Your goal is to train the market to comply with published Best Practice techniques, as well as the product specific Installation Instructions. You must be capable of developing and sustaining strong working relationships with our superior sales team and all other customers. Additionally, you will strive to continually expand your territory's number of qualified installation companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides training and education for installation crews on the Company's best practices through organized Product Knowledge sessions while promoting company products, solutions and services to end-users, customers, contractors, distributors, retailers, builders and sales people.
• Provides competitive market advantage opportunities to installation companies to ensure quality efficiencies and Company best practices guidelines.
• Creates capacity in excess of demand based on install production and district growth and partners closely with the installation companies to convert them from using other building products, such as vinyl.
• Develops new business opportunities for value-added products and services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Extensive knowledge of building practices in both residential and commercial segments.
• Ability to hold builder attention and take charge of building sites based on respect and installation mastery.
• Demonstrated expertise in the use of tools, and practices in siding applications.
• Superior presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with trades, as well as all levels of the company organization (sales, manufacturing, senior management etc).
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
• Superior interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.
• Demonstrated ability in problem solving (collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in a timely basis) and negotiation with special emphasis on closing the sale.
• Ability to communicate and work with cross functional teams and all levels in the organization.
• Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion.
• Demonstrated intermediate skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and proprietary software).
• A demonstrable capacity to keep abreast of new industry trends and how they would interact with our products (preferred).
• Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time. (travel expenses are covered)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Canadian candidates must have College diplomas or a Bachelor's Degree.
• 5 or more years of experience in commercial or residential building industry.
• 3 or more years of experience in one or more of the following:
• Siding business owner
• Siding or Carpentry site foreman (superintendent)
• Home builder site superintendent.
