| Licensed Commercial Truck And Trailer Mechanic Vancouver 39ss1105 Accept the Challenge! We are currently looking for a Licensed Commercial Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our BC Maintenance Department Department. PURPOSE: You will use current technology to ensure the highest performance and safety of all vehicles. Working in a clean and organized environment you will participate in training programs designed to upgrade your skills and keep you informed of new technology. DUTIES INCLUDE: • Preventative and scheduled repairs: o Review and follow work order instructions from start to finish o Fill out on work order all parts used and input comments (complaint, cause and correction) regarding the repair o Inspect total vehicle, road test and test systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices and isolate faults o Notify Maintenance Leader of any other needed repairs • Using the Enrich System, identify any warranty repairs and complete necessary paperwork for warranty processing • Perform Ministry of Transportation vehicle inspections as per Ministry guidelines • Mobile repairs: o Drive to destinations where our equipment is located and perform same tasks as above o Shunting and moving equipment in and out of maintenance facility and other destinations for repairs • Shop cleanup: o Put away any equipment used, including personal tools o Shop cleanliness, emptying garbage cans at end of shift, washing floors and sweeping • Attend shift meetings as required • Participate in formal and informal training sessions QUALIFICATIONS: • Possess a full valid Driver’s License • Possess Interprovincial Mechanic Certificates • Possess BCTQ (British Columbia Technical Qualification) • Possess or able to obtain MVI/CVI Inspector Certifications HOURS: Evenings: Monday to Friday 3:00pm to 11:30am Please send us your resume by clicking on Apply Now!
